Exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1964, Catalogue No.1145, as the Diploma Work given by David McFall on his election as an Academician in 1963 and featured in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Illustrated Magazine of 1964 (page 55).
As his Diploma work, it was also exhibited posthumously at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 1989, Catalogue No. 43
There are casts in the Grocer's Hall, in Gray's Inn and in 3 US universities
Following "The Rocquebrune Head" study [1958/2] McFall had further sittings with Churchill at his Chartwell home in May and June 1958 (he was the last sculptor to work from Churchill during his lifetime). These sittings produced this bust and the final Woodford Green statue [1959/4].
