Francis C Scott was Chairman of Provincial Insurance Company from 1946-1956 and son of the Company's Founder Sir James Scott Bt. (see also 1969/1)
This medallions was produced for Provincial's overseas offices and 25 of them (plus the master bronze) were kept in store until Francis Scott died (aged 96) when it was found they had disappeared. One example is extant.
